Gardening & Wellbeing Survey – can you help?

Lately, there has been a lot of public discussion about whether nature, in particular gardening, is good for mental health and wellbeing. However, little is currently known about the actual effects of activities such as gardening on our wellbeing. This research will investigate how people engage with gardening, whether this has an effect on wellbeing and why this might be the case. With a focus on gardening as an environmental practice we also aim to understand what role it might play in helping us to deal with stresses related to climate change.

Members of the LSE’s Geography and Environment Department are conducting a survey into the association between gardening and wellbeing. The survey takes around 10 minutes and asks simple questions about your activities in the garden and overall well-being. If you are interested, please follow the link to complete the survey.
