Hannah Hodson is a yoga teacher with a passion for mindfulness, stress reduction and wellbeing. Having completed her yoga teacher training in India, the heart of yoga.
Hannah had noticed some of her regulars from class were coming to sessions with complaints of aches from gardening, which gave her the idea to cultivate a class specifically targeting those areas affected.
The intention is for gardeners to be able to take time to restore, easing any aches and also preventing future pains. It’s also the chance to take time to connect to the breath, cultivating a practice of mindfulness which students can incorporate into their outdoor activity.
The course will run for 6 sessions over 6 weeks, on zoom for 30 minutes at a time. If anyone needs any guidance with zoom Hannah is also happy to offer guidance in advance. The classes will offer gentle stretches and relaxation, increased strength, mobility and reduction of future pains.
During times of restricted physical contact, taking care of our both physical and emotional wellbeing is paramount, which is where online classes can provide support. Feeling safe and comfortable is really important, so Hannah encourages students to do whatever helps them feel most at ease, whether that’s turning their camera off or surrounding themselves with 5 cushions.
The course is £18 per household for the 6 weeks and there is a 15% discount for members of the Gardeners Club – code : GARDEN15.
Hannah believes that yoga is for everyone, it just requires the willingness to show up and honour our bodies and minds. So if anyone has any questions or is interested to sign up, please feel free to email her at [email protected].
